Costco Development Progress In West Roseville

As of February 2025, the development of Costco's second location in Roseville, California, at the northwest corner of Baseline and Fiddyment Roads, is progressing as planned. The 160,529-square-foot warehouse will feature a gas station and car wash, serving as the anchor for the 81-acre Baseline Marketplace retail development. This marketplace is set to include approximately 750,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space upon completion. Specific tenants for the retail and restaurant spaces within Baseline Marketplace, aside from the confirmed Costco warehouse, have not been officially announced. 

In August 2024, Costco finalized the purchase of the property, marking a significant milestone in the project's advancement.

Infrastructure construction commenced in the fall of 2024, focusing on offsite improvements and roadway development. Vertical construction of the store began in early 2025, with an anticipated opening later this year.

The Baseline Marketplace development is expected to generate substantial economic benefits for Roseville, including increased tax revenue and job creation. The first phase, encompassing the Costco store, gas station, car wash, and three additional parcels, is projected to contribute approximately $3 million annually in tax revenue to the city.
