The Sierra Mountain Inn is the second oldest continually operating lodging facility in the historic gold mining town of Grass Valley, second only to the Holbrooke Hotel. Historic records show the first four guest rooms were built approximately in 1933 on land that was then a dairy farm. In 2002, current owners bought the Inn and embarked on a ground up restoration with the vision of adding The Sierra Mountain Inn to the new trend of restored 1930s and 1940s boutique motels throughout the country. After the renovation, the Inn was reopened in 2004 and has enjoyed great success ever since. The Inn has been one of the top rated hotels by TripAdvisor and many other online reservation booking and rating companies. There are currently 12 rooms two are 2-bedroom, 2-bath suites, three are 2-bedroom, 1-bath suites, the rest are 1-bedroom, 1-bath guestrooms.
